Amader Arpan is a philanthropic organization registered under W.B.Act XXVI of 1961 S/1L/55575 of 2008-09 and registered office in Kolkata. The members of the organization are mostly young professionals who wish to see a different India. It was established in the year 2008.
Mission: Our mission is -
“To impart quality education to the potentially gifted underprivileged students till they find a mean to take responsibility of their dependents
With this primary mission as mentioned above, Amader Arpan has instilled into itself what Swami Vivekananda once said-
"So long as the millions die in hunger and ignorance, I hold everyman a traitor who, having been educated at their expense pays not the least heed to them".
Accordingly, we have decided to dedicate ourselves to the service of mankind irrespective of caste, creed and religion.”
Activities: We have involved ourselves in diverse activities in last three years. Few of these are -
Monthly financial assistance to few students residing at North 24 Parganas for pursuing their Higher Secondary education
We distribute educational items such as pen, pencil, books etc. through different social organization.
Efforts are being made to improve overall quality of life of Sabar community, at West Midnapur, who lives in the jungle area with abject poverty.
Medical camp is held on regular basis on rural areas
Efforts are on to help the Executive Committee of the Ashram in forming a congenial environment inside the Ashram for imparting quality education. This includes - Supervising the activities of the free coaching centre
Formalizing the Routine and Content of the curriculum
Introduction of Extra-curricular activities
Assistance is being provided to orphan children in Kolkata area
